Elise Roedenbeck

This series is comprised of several images and a short flash animation. The central concept is that of Sigmund Freud battling his foe: Hysteria, a once mild mannered woman, driven past the point of sanity by traveling uterus disease. In attempt to soothe her penis envy, Hysteria begins to horde and destroy famous phallic symbols and monuments. Luckily, Freud manages to tie her uterus back into place and Hysteria returns to her post-victorian household duties without any further disruptions.
